My Mountain

Once upon a time in a not so magical and often imperfect world
Two halves who had been searching
found each other
Majestic and mighty the mountain he reaches toward the stars
The mountain he is a knight poised and on guard ready to fight,
The mountain he bears the weight of all the world
A sanctuary for all living things
surrounding the world in its magical embrace,
The forest surrounds the mountain his gentle lady caught in his embrace,
Each are two parts of a whole simply meant to be,
The mountain he needs the forest for she is his air to breathe,
The forest she can never be separated from her mountain,
Longing for the space and time to simply be
Her magic only exists lovingly surrounded by her mountainside,
Her sweet knight offers the gifts of magic of this world
Sweet fluttering lightning bugs to light the way
The mountain and the forest are forged together across the sands of time
The mountain guards and protects his forest
And the forest teaches the mountain her gentle lessons of light and love. Offering gifts of how to safely bend and sway enduring the storm of cruelty found in this world! Deep in the mountainside, she spreads her roots both far and wide
The mountain shares his strength and power for all time,
He is her cup and she his water,
Both able to quench the fires that rage within
Theirs is a love story written across the sands of time
