On this day in history, we remember Princess of Wales, Lady Diana Spencer, whose life was cut short in a car accident in Paris on August 31, 1997. Princess Dianna was known as the “people’s princess” and was loved for her humanitarian efforts. The accident also claimed the lives of her driver and boyfriend. Diana’s bodyguard survives the crash.
