One of my all-time favorite history mystery moments is just too good to not share again! In my opinion, I think the Humaine Society should honorarily nominate this guy as their spokesperson! Did you know… Curly from “The Three Stooges” (his given name was Jerome Lester Horwitz, and his stage name was Curly Howard) saved and rescued more than 5,000 dogs during his lifetime. Curly would bring stray dogs home and sheltered them (he was an animal rights advocate and foster champion before it was cool) until he found a home for the furry babies. When the three Stooges were on tour, Curly found at least one stray dog a new home in every single town he visited. Curly was born in Brooklyn, New York, and his brothers were real-life “stooges” partners in crime, Moe Howard (Moses Harry Horwitz) and Shemp Howard (Samual Horwitz) As always, there is so much more to every story! Find it! Be sure to stop by and share with me what you uncover! #historymysteries
