Happy Christmas Eve, My Love
It’s another holiday under our belts
I’m wide awake when I should be sleeping
I have been wide awake for over an hour laying in our bed
I need you even more today
Call me a mushmellon
Or a sentimental Christmas elf
Only one thought is dancing through my brain
You can call it my Christmas wish list
Not a single present wrapped under the tree
I want you by my side
Right next to me
It’s cold and rainy, and now they have predicted a winter wonderland for Christmas
You won’t have to wonder long exactly what my Christmas wish is
My husband
My husband
With him on a plane, visa, and passport in tow
Or perhaps the jolliest of Christmas Elves, dear Santa himself, might hear my plea to deliver my husband safely to me
Tonight, when there is just a little more magic that exists in this world where all the hopes and dreams of everyone are carried swiftly to each and every heart
So tonight and every night, my wish is precisely the same
My husband is right by my side
And I won’t mind a bit if dear old St. Nick delivers him home to me right past embassies and customs and into my arms
A special delivery sent out on this wishy early Christmas Eve morning for me and Christmas Eve night for you
Carried home safely in a sleigh with eight delightful dancing reindeer
