Did I whisper the words today
Did you feel everything I feel in my heart for you
Can you feel the way you take my breath away
Did I tell you today that your smile lights up my world
Did I tell you that in your arms is where I always want to be and belong eternally
Did I tell you today that leaving you in Islamabad ripped away at a piece of my soul
You are all that my heart was ever meant to love
You make me want to be more
To rise above all the words that have ever danced in my heart and brain
Did I tell you the night you got on one knee
My heart exploded with a joy I cannot begin to describe
I waited over a year and a half to meet you at the alter and become your bride
There is nothing in this world that I wouldn’t do
You are the tenderest moments deep in the night
You are every passionate moment that ever existed on this earthly plane
You are the sweetest kisses and passionate ones as well
Each one defines me in every possible way
You and with you is exactly where I am supposed to be, where you and I love and work out the details of our life
You are tender, fierce, and loving and you are forever and always mine
I’m in a plane thousands of feet in the air
And this is something I don’t think I have ever done
Written poetry for my husband at an elevation of 35,000 feet, and it couldn’t be more beautiful than if my feet were on the ground
The only thing I know that makes sense is I’m traveling in the wrong direction! I need you in every possible way
