for me patriotic means respect for the challenges and obstacles that our founding fathers had to endure to achieve what we have today. I simply believe it commands our respect and admiration for what they chose to endure so that our lives could be better. I also believe it requires the same level of respect across all humanity and with every single culture walking gently and considering that we must honor the efforts made for each of us. We must tread lightly so that others may follow after us and learn from our examples as global citizens and not by our mistakes and shortcomings. Albeit both will leave lessons for the future.
