I am forever a dorky dork kind of girl
As a child, I was wild and untamed
I had not a single care in the world
Just let me be free and wild
A gangly, homely, curly red, wild-haired, freckle-faced girl
Who loved to climb trees and play in the mud
Who swam in mud puddles
Staring up into the skies
Filled with an imagination as vast as there are stars in the sky
Still a curly, red-haired, freckle-faced girl
Who loves the mountains and trees
Who loves all of the spectacular wonders that nature offers for us to see
If we will only pause for a moment and allow the world to come into our hearts
Nature and all its splendor are what sets our world apart!
Get out and love the trees and mountains and the world that we are privileged to share!
Not ours!
It’s borrowed, can’t you see?
So, hug a tree and sit a spell
Marvel at the beautiful, healing magic in the forest
And, for goodness sake, pick up a piece of trash
Stare in wonder at the magnificence all around
You only get a moment
So, appreciate all of it while it’s here
Some of you have been handed diamonds
And you treat it like dirt
We are all brilliant
If you take the time to look and see
Sit back and let the world see your sparkle
Shine my darlings
Shine brilliantly
