“And…. Another Boundless Boo-Boo!”

Confessions of a woman in love with her husband. When I met Umair, I had more than my fair share of worries and concerns. Not a single one of those worries or concerns pertained to Umair! I can tell you with zero hesitation I love that man! I love Umair with a fierceness and a fire. That fierceness and fire is equaled by and in his love for me! Since I am the writer in the family, I will say it all the words and ways that fill my heart as words dance pirouettes inside my head and heart dancing their way beautifully to paper and page!

In the beginning when we were dating I knew without a doubt I was falling in love with this incredible man who captured my heart! The obstacles that would become part of our life terrified me! Umair being so far away, in fact more than half way across the world. Logistically how was this gonna work? I am sure Umair matched my concerns with concerns of his own. 8000 miles is a lot, a lot of international travel and all on me because Pakistan passport holders face a relentless battle to be able to travel just about anywhere!! The biggest obstacle and challenge I face and fear every day is wanting my husband to walk through that door every single day and wrap his arms around me and curl up in his lap.

As we were in the early stages of us, Umair and I chatted away about history, architecture, traveling, and language, business, education and all the countless subjects that interested us, we were quick to discover we were drawn to each other in friendship, and it evolved into so much more. 💜 Umair and I cook together on the phone and I have begun making several Pakistani dishes, I am perfecting my own roghni naan, and I have even slightly modified a few of our dishes to blend our cultures!

Umair and I discussed future challenges and obstacles we might potentially face. As we embarked on our international relationship, the nearly 8000 miles that separate us present more than a fair share of hurdles! We discuss our families and share all the parts of our lives. We spend 10-plus hours (perhaps more) on FaceTime and chatting in text each day! We discuss adopting children and developing a business model and plan that can adequately support our families on each side. At the same time, our goal remains to bring my sister-in-law, Iqra, and mother and father-in-law to the United States. Umair and I discuss our hopes and dreams just like every normal couple does. Umair has embraced my disabled adopted daughter as his own. Becky is our daughter and Umair has stated if anything happened to me, he would honor my wishes for her care. Umair and I discuss the challenges and hurdles for his mother-in-law and my mother as we embrace a new normal life that includes her living with acute kidney failure 3b, (trust me when I say the 3b matters, we are one blip from dialysis) diabetes, heart failure, COPD, emphysema, and a long laundry list of other complex conditions, including her newly installed pacemaker. Umair and I discuss daily my fears about being the best caregiver for her in this stage. After all, I am her daughter, and with all these changes, massive changes have occurred, including auditory and visual hallucinations. Her team of specialists assures that I (along with Umair when he comes to the US) are the very best to provide the care as often people in these health crises decline very rapidly after being placed in a nursing home. I emphasize the need to get Umair into the United States as soon as possible. Umair is my support in every sense of the word and my partner in this life.

One of the biggest challenges always seems to be surrounding our spousal case and money and time to be able to travel! In July 2023, I was offered a Golden Visa in Dubai, UAE for my work in writing and I’m so incredibly proud that I received the invitation. Why, haven’t we gone to Dubai to obtain just read the previous paragraphs! Being offered the golden visa in itself is remarkable! I’m so honored!!

Back to the spousal visa. The people you hire to help take you through your journey should be your most significant advocates as you embark on a journey that will allow your life as a couple united in the same home and country to begin. Umair and I began our journey as a family nearly two years ago and we have now been married just past three months. Go team Umairs!

Sadly, and much to my dismay, the level of support and advocacy for the spousal case is not the case. So, if you were to ask me about the people we chose, I would say without hesitation, choose carefully. We chose Boundless Immigration due to the cost. We had researched multiple; when I say numerous, the number was ridiculous, and what it boiled down to was money! We already had concerns with Boundless. I will be only to happy to share details with anyone who asks. After speaking with Bernadette, at Boundless, I would be a liar if I said I still didn’t have reservations. We paid the fees, and then Bernadette “ghosted us.”

Bernadette was no longer present and failed to respond to emails. The team overlooks and ignores what you upload on their portal. The lawyer’s “premier service is a joke! Umair and I did all the work!! Now we have a family, and I’m the only one able to work presently, so Boundless was our most affordable choice! At $1260 for fees and $720 (that’s the filing first half ) for USCIS, that is the most affordable, but it’s what we could afford!  The attorney we wanted @HackingLaw #HackingLaw.

The first worker, Sharon at Boundless was helpful and listened. I cannot ignore the fact that she did make extra effort. The second worker, Jovelyn at Boundless, made typos and was inconsistent. Jovelyn also did not respond to emails. Winchell at Boundless said they would try to be professional and pay close attention to our case. I will include snapshots; from my last email, I asked him if they digitally upload our file electronically or physically mail. His response was, yes, we will file your paperwork. So an answer just not “the answer.” Boundless ignored our efforts and work, and we had to upload it multiple times. Boundless took an extensive amount of time on average; five days after each time, they would “request” you provide what you already provided. At this point, you need to highlight, document, and outline what they are “asking” for so that they can “see.” They respond to your email by inconsistently and ambiguously answering your question, so what I mean is if you have a question, they’re going to respond in a manner that answers the question without actually answering the question.

💜💜Umair💜💜 and I are confident that with the fees they charge, we could put together individual case files thoroughly and in a much more professional and consistent way while maintaining and respecting the couples and their process through the journey. I am a writer with three master’s degrees, so when they fail to pay attention and waste my time, it becomes more of an annoyance! When they take the money that supports my family on top of that and waste my time. Now, I will share from the rooftop, so get ready for your review, guys! Lights! Camera and Action! Or should I say massive lack of action, Boundless? So from this writer’s honest opinion it appears another Boundless Boo-Boo!
