Friday Night

It’s another Friday night here without you

The sun pours in its delightful rays through the window

The birds are off chirping gleefully

It’s Friday night and my heart longs for halva, chickpeas and warm delicious roghni naan, and a delicious yummy cup of chai to warm my heart and soul

It’s Friday night and I long for mountains and trees, monkeys swinging gleefully in the trees

It’s Friday night, I long for walks in the park

It’s Friday night, I long for walks on the beach, where the warm soft sand caresses my feet

It’s Friday night, I can spend hours telling you all the ways I wish I could spend my night

It’s Friday night, and I sit here dreaming of you
