Love Lingers

Dear Heart “amor est satis” for my every hope and dream and deepest desire that ever existed within me, Umair!!

Have you heard my whisper to the moon today? The sheer delight of seeing you and watching you makes me so unbelievably full of every hope that ever existed within me! Dear heart I am so utterly greedy for every second with you because you are every thought, every wish, every hope! I didn’t have to ever feel me! Because I wanted to feel you over and over and over in waves of exhilaration! I’m sublime! Waves of utter bliss that crash upon me and threatening to consume my soul! I want to feel and store every thought, glance, stroke into memory that’s full of devotion and love completely and entirely for YOU!

Your name is inked into my skin! Your inhale and exhale is a storm raging out of control from with my brain, I shudder I quake with need. A need only you Umairi can fill! Your words have always filled me with humility, love, passion, compassion and I have only ever wanted to be more do more for you! in every single second so to say any of those words it’s just not possible for you to comprehend how utterly devoted and in love with you I am and have been it’s not random or casual it’s breathtaking and awe inspiring. It’s so little and so big that it utterly terrifies me! Thoughts of you randomly scatter across my skin warming me from within and sparkle and glow! I wish you could see inside me! Maybe someday Allah will let you see all the love I have for you, Umair that every day dance’s pirouettes inside my heart and head!

The Dance

When you look beyond all our words, adding up the hours, minutes and days

Countless hours spent communicating

some resulted in fights
but most fueled by love

the end and sum of this equation always boils down to me and you

in this dance called life
the beginning and end of each day
are only you and I
I can’t recall a single moment where you haven’t taken my breath away
your words fill me and consume me with a passion I have never even begun to know
you are the fire
and I am the flame
you are the star, and I am the moonlight
And you take my breath away

you are the song I never want to end

And …. Culture, Heritage and History

Daily writing prompt
What aspects of your cultural heritage are you most proud of or interested in?

Lets be completely honest I love all aspects of every bit of history whether it’s mine or not the simple factor of the matter is we all came from one place. We all derived from that location and were branched out. It is all history. It is all ours! We exist on one planet! We get one shot, and so like a little greedy toddler, I want to gobble up every bit of history that I possibly have the opportunity! I want to travel, I want to explore, I want to immerse myself in all things history. And I think that the reality is until we all learn to appreciate and value, all parts of history, and every part as a part of us we are simply not gonna get it , there’s not one single person on this planet that is better than another human being. We are all equal. We are all beautiful. We are all unique. We all should be celebrated! Celebrate the people that show up! Share your sparkle! Love the people that matter in your life love them deeply and unconditionally! Like snowflakes there are no two of exactly the same celebrate your magic! #HistoryMysteries. #Travel #ChasingMySparkle

History Mysteries, “Proud of the Memories, Golden Rule”

Written by Lynn Allen

Off on my journey, as usual, exploring all things history earlier. I had received Junie’s theme, relaying the history of growing up in Hiawatha, Kansas, a while back. In her story, she recollected many things that she was proud of that made Hiawatha special to her: the streetlights that she could shimmy to the top, touch the globe, and slide back down, Middlebrooks, Golden Rule store, and her memories of Central school, which she attributed as the best in all the land! One particularly fond moment of hers was second-grade recess when she placed her coat on backward, and she and her friends went outside, singing their brand of a concert, which the fifth-grade teacher intensely disliked and asked them to discontinue immediately.

In her recollection, she shared her first job at the Golden Rule Store running the Otis Elevator. Junie was immensely proud of her community and her opportunity to be a part of the community! It is memories such as this one that one can appreciate from the family treasure chest and fondly recollect. Each individual has an opportunity to explore these histories, share them, and celebrate the stories while you can. #HistoryMysteries

History Mysteries, “Fall in Love with Your Life!”

Written by Lynn Allen

Each week, I venture down my exploration of history. This week’s purpose is to focus on lessons learned and ways we might fall in love with our lives. Each exploration of history is an opportunity to explore history, travel, and chase down each clue to find gems at the bottom of your history chest.

I am grateful for each opportunity to share and explore each piece of history. I am thankful for each story shared with me and that I have been able to share with you. I am grateful for each friendship, some old and some new.

I am so incredibly grateful for each individual who took the time to reach out regularly during my mothers health crisis. The individuals who checked in on my mom and me in each of those moments. The gifts given in those moments I cannot properly illustrate. I found myself holding my breath and waiting, exhausted and emotionally unraveling in a health crisis out of my control and means life has transformed to a new existence and what was my mom will never be the same. The situation did have positive impacts, such as renewed clarity for the things that are important in life. In those moments, suddenly the things that do matter are illuminated. It also helps you develop an understanding and appreciation for the moments that, perhaps, sometimes, we take for granted. In these moments of clarity  you gain a new perspective on life, living, your story, and each celebration, and even of each sorrow. Take time to fall in love with your life, appreciate love, and value the people who consistently show up and celebrate their presence and support. Fall in love with your life!

I am equally surprised by the actions, lack of effort, or presence of people I would have expected to show up. I am still immensely grateful for the people who did. Celebrate the people who care and make a difference. Life is far too precious and short to waste your time or effort on individuals who can’t see anyone beyond themselves! Chase after your stories, dig in your treasure chests and listen to the stories that will become treasured while you can!#historymysteries

Once Upon Forever

Photo by Jonathan Borba on Pexels.com

Once upon a star kissed dream, I wished for a version of perfection utterly for me

And out of that dream you appeared

and my life and heart found a rhythm it had never known before

the gentlest and sweetest love I never had the privilege to feel before

a love story

entirely our own

I hope someday you realize all the ways you mean absolutely everything to me

how you have touched my heart

the ache I feel when your not holding me tight

the soft caresses of your touches

Utter and complete perfection when you surround me in your arms

wish I may and wish I might have the wish I wish tonight

that you might realize your value and importance in my life

maybe the world could be a little less

big tonight where thousands of miles might be erased

and a heart longing for the sweetest and gentlest touches of her lovers embrace.

Moms Moments

It’s been a while since I wrote a moms moment and this last month while agonizing has bore gifts I cannot begin to describe. A year has a half ago I brought my moms home to live with me. It was bittersweet I wanted to have her here and had many moments of hurt I cannot possibly illustrate properly in words. Moms has multiple health issues and a month ago she had a heart attack and hypoxia. As I have watched her diminish more and more revelations and there are bittersweet moments. Tonight was her blowing bubbles in her egg drop soup and giggling and saying I keep forgetting to suck or blow and then proclaiming “I am a bad girl!” I said oh my goodness no you are a very good girl. Somewhere in the process my mother is returning to the innocence of being a child and I am amazed by the gifts my God offers. Serenity and peace for me.I hope the same for moms. Earlier today she told me when I had to run an errand that she misses me! Now you can be absolutely certain some of the things she says hurt but today was pure joy. The picture is moms from early this morning while I watched her sleeping.

History Mysteries “ The Many Advantages of Labors of Love!”

Written by Lynn Allen

As usual, off on my journey, exploring all things history, and with Labor Day approaching, why not explore a little bit? The significance behind the holiday is to celebrate the achievements of American workers who contribute to the success of all businesses and enterprises. The federal holiday became official in 1894 and is celebrated by many American families on the first Monday of September. The holiday also marks for many the end of summer with festivals and athletics.

Looking back on the accomplishments of the working conditions in 1894, the average American worker had 12-hour shifts seven days a week to scrape by barely. There were no labor standards at the time, so children as young as five or six worked alongside adult coworkers for a fraction of what the adults earned.

The working conditions, particularly for migrant workers, were unsafe conditions. Those conditions included a lack of fresh air or a clean working environment. As we journey into our own 2023 celebrations of Labor Day, it’s important to note at some point in our family history that we were all immigrants or migrants in America. It is also important to note that with hardships, effort, strife, and enduring spirits in each of our families, we persevered and improved the conditions for future workers of America. Before the establishment of the Labor Day holiday, the Industrial Revolution rallies American workers together for safer, healthier working environment and conditions. As always, history can illuminate the stories! #historymysteries

Sunday Evening Daydreams

Roses are Red

Violets are sometimes blue

When I dream, it’s always crossing oceans and deserts to be with you

My heart, my soul, and my body longing to be tenderly caressed in that soft sweet place upon your chest

Your arms surround me

It’s the only time I ever truly peacefully rest!

Every single day we exist separated by oceans and the thousands of miles! How on earth did I ever exist without you holding my heart I will never know! Our life, loving and longing every day for the thousands of miles that separate us to be whisked away! The world seems so small and yet so large if I had the power I would reach out and pull you closer to me in a world where only you and I exist together for all infinity!

…. And One Dinosaur

Daily writing prompt
If you could bring back one dinosaur, which one would it be?

And a dinosaur for me. All things considered not gonna bring back anything that might destroy with meat eater tactics. I am going for a green eater, now keep in mind these little guys like salad we will need to plant some more greenage. Wooly mammoth it is said ate a diet similar to the Asian Elephant. It is also reported they ate the poop of other mammoths to give their guts bacteria.

Initially, these gentle giants lived in tropical forests which considering the fur coat had to be a little bit balmy! Now, while it might be incredibly “cool” to bring back all of the dinosaurs and I truly could profess many reasons why I would love to see the dinosaurs in “action,” just not my idea of a fun day to try to survive a meat eater experience.
